No man is an island. At one point or the other in our lives, we need friends; people we could confide in and sometimes fall on in times of crisis. However, there should be a limitation to the things one share with friends.

1. Finances

Your friends could help you out when you are low in finances. It is natural for them to probe and ask questions. Never give them detailed information on the exact amount your partner is earning; it’s an indirect way of making your partner lose his or her worth. Your friends would start to see your partner as not being capable of meeting your needs. Expensive jokes you may not like could be passed on his or her financial capability and you may not like it.

2. Infidelity

Most ladies are quick to share details of their partner’s infidelity with their friends. Men cheat; it has almost become a norm. However, letting your friends know about these things would only make them disregard the men in your life. Your little chit-chat about your partner to your friends would make them disrespect him someday. He would always be seen as being irresponsible.

3. Fights And Arguments

Avoid running off to your friends anytime there is a fight between you and your partner. They may help you settle fights from time to time but they would eventually get tired and mock your relationship. There are some issues that should never be shared with a third party when it comes to your private life.

4. Having Multiple Partners

It is absurd to tell your friends about the number of men in your life and how you manage them. While they may hype you and make you feel like you are reigning or in vogue, their comments would run you down someday. Sharing such information with them all in the name of gist gives them certain power over you. Indirectly, you are placing a weapon into their hands. When it’s time to settle down finally, they may use all these things against you.

5. Dark Secrets

Everyone goes through trying moments from time to time. These moments sometimes push people beyond their limits and make them commit heinous crimes. Without trying to justify the drastic measures people take when faced with challenges, it should be known that everyone has secrets. It’s totally pointless telling your friends the number of abortions you have had or the fact that you seduced an underage girl. These are things people aren’t proud of. You never can tell when these secrets would be used against you.
